Different Task Types

When creating a task you can set it to repeat on a regular schedule, or be a one off/ad-hoc (non-repeating) task.

Recurring Tasks

For repeating tasks, you can set a task to repeat every Month End, Quarter End, Half-year, Year End, Daily, Weekly, or two weeks (fortnightly).

Month End: These tasks will recur every month end
Quarter End: These tasks will only occur on your quarter ends. The quarter end date is derived from the year end date you set for each company. For example, if your year end is 31-Dec, then your quarter ends will be Mar, Jun, Sep, & Dec. Any quarter end tasks will appear in your normal month end checklist for the relevant months.
Half Year: These tasks will only occur every half year. Half year date is derived from the year end date you set for each company. For example, if your year end is 31-Dec, then your half year will be Jun, and the tasks will only appear at this time. Note, they will not appear at your companies year end. Any half year tasks will appear in your normal month end checklist for the relevant months.
Year End: These tasks will only occur on your companies year end date. Year-end date is derived from the year end date you set for each company. Any year end tasks will appear in your normal month end checklist for the relevant months.
Daily: These tasks will occur every day that you select (you will be given the option Mon-Fri), so these tasks can ever week day, or only certain days. For example you may only want a task to appear on Mondays and Fridays every week, then just select Mon & Fri.
Weekly: These tasks will occur every week on the allocated days you select (you will be given the option Mon-Fri), you just need to select which day of the week you want these tasks to appear on.
Two Weeks: These tasks occur every two weeks (fortnightly). Please be careful when setting these tasks up to ensure that you get the correct start date (otherwise your two week pattern will be incorrect). We recommend that these two weekly tasks are created in the Daily Checklist directly to ensure that the starting date (and therefore repetition pattern) is correct.

If anything goes wrong when you are setting up a task, don’t worry, you can easily edit a task, or if easier, just delete it completely and start over.

Refer to our guide on archiving tasks and editing tasks for more details.

Non-repeating / Non-recurring / Ad-hoc / one off tasks

Ad hoc: These are tasks that will not repeat. They will only occur in the month or day that you create them in. These are great for those one-off quick items that you don’t want to be forgotten about.
