Create a Recurring Task
Easy Month End is designed specifically for the different types of repeating tasks that Finance teams will have.
For a full explanation of the different repletion frequency of tasks, refer to the article on Task Types.
Tasks can either be created in Settings > Tasks, or within the Monthly/Daily Checklist.
Regardless of where you are creating a task from, the mandatory information required for each task is: Description, Repeats every, and Entity. The Area field if optional and can be left blank if you prefer.
Creating a task from the Settings area
Navigate to Settings > Tasks and then select New Task
You will then be prompted to fill out the relevant information for the task you are creating.
Ad-hoc/one off/non-recurring tasks cannot be created from the Settings screen, as a once off task must be allocated to a defined period. See below for how to create a recurring task within a Checklist.
Create a recurring task from the Monthly Checklist
Navigate to the Monthly Checklist and select the New Task button.
You will then be prompted to fill out the relevant information for the task you are creating.
Ad-hoc/one off/non-recurring tasks must be created in the Monthly checklist that you wish them to appear in. For example, to add a non-recurring task to the Aug-23 checklist, it must be created in the Aug-23 checklist.
Create a recurring task from the Daily Checklist
Navigate to the Daily Checklist and select the New Task option
You will then be prompted to fill out the relevant information for the task you are creating.
Ad-hoc/one off/non-recurring tasks must be created in the Daily checklist that you wish them to appear in. For example, to add a non-recurring task for Friday 23rd of June, it must be created in the Friday 23rd June checklist.
